Master IndexfictionTo imagine is to think. To tell stories is to live. Here you can find fiction of all kinds; some of it is my own, the rest by other people (who usually write better than I do).

Science Fiction (and other) parodies: some things you don't really need to make fun of, but what the hell fiction, weird and wonderful
gamesEveryone likes playing with stuff, as do I. Mostly technical stuff (oo! toys!), and a lot of it involves computers and logic games and such like that. Here you can find toys and fun things to do (or think about).

baZic: a minimal Basic interpreter for the Z-machine games, interactive fiction, my own work, programming
graphicsOne day I'd like to learn how to draw and paint. Until then, I suppose I'll just have to make do with renderers and modellers. Of course, the Great Renderer In The Sky is still better than anything Pixar can come up with, but programming it is a bit tricky...

intentintent is the embedded operating system produced by Tao Group, for whom I work. It's really neat.
interactive fictionInteractive Fiction is the art of the adventure game. Yes, I'm talking about the things where you type commands in to the computer and the computer tells you what they did. But throw away any preconceptions that you may have had; some modern games can be quite mind-blowing. In terms of plot, characterisation, general playability and even special effects (the most expensive graphics card can't compete with a paragraph of well-written text and your own imagination), interactive fiction can beat most graphical games hands down. You won't find those here. Instead, I seem to have an interest in warping the technology as much as possible. If it shouldn't be possible to do something with IF technology, I try to do it.

LinuxLinux is my operating system of choice (although I think very highly of OpenBSD, too). Everything here relates to Linux specifically and won't be of any use on other platforms, probably.

weird and wonderfulNot everything in the universe is explainable. Or even sensible. Or even sane. This category contains all the pages on my site that have to do with the bizarre, the silly, and the stupid. You can find everything from genuine UFO pictures to Star Trek parodies. Just be careful. Some of this material is hazardous to meaningful thought.
